Chorus
I joined Vox Media as a Design Technologist to work on Chorus, a modern media stack that powers 330+ properties. Chorus handles everything from authoring, editing, layout, community development, social media, story optimization, and publishing. During my time I helped design the product, integrated it with ad platforms, and built brands like The Verge and Polygon on the new platform.

Hymnal
In 2015 I was tasked with making a custom add creation platform to scale our business. I paired with an engineer and project manager to design and develop Hymnal, that served our custome advertising through Google DFP. This brought targeting, publishing, ad creation and creative intellence all in to one product — enabling the company to automate ad campaigns, and establish a new revenue stream for the company.

Syllabus
Live blogging was a crucial tool for The Verge and Polygon in their fledgling days. At the time, all media companies relied on costly third parties to enable live blogging. I paired with a systems engineer and a developer to make our own tool that was optimized for our Editorial teams. Syllabus enabled The Verge to jump from 5th to third most popular tech blog at the time, stealing marketshare from Engadget and Gizmodo.
